Find out about giving to St. David's

Children

Our big aim in all we do in the children’s work at St David’s Church is “to make young disciples who make disciples”.

We do this through teaching God’s word and in partnership with parents.

“We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.” Psalm 78:4

Sunday Club

Sunday Club meets every Sunday at the 10:30 service. The children begin in the church building and then go over to the St David’s Centre after 15 minutes to find their groups. We have 2 groups at Sunday Club:

  • Scramblers - Age 2.5-5 (Reception) in Meeting Room

  • Adventurers - Age 5-11 (Yr 1-6) in Main Hall

For younger children, there are toys provided in the St David's Centre foyer along with the livestream of the service for the adults. Alternatively, there is also a Creche area with books and toys in the main church building.

The children’s groups teach the Bible in an age appropriate way with games and craft activities. There are also times to pray, learn memory verses and sing together.

All groups are supervised by a friendly team of leaders who are DBS checked.

The sessions finish at the same time as the main service, at which point the Adventurers group walks back to the church building and re-join their parents there. We ask that parents of children in Scramblers come and collect them from the church centre as soon as possible after the service.

We occasionally have All-Age services when the whole church family gathers altogether.

We look forward to seeing you!

“As you come to Him, the living Stone ... you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” Verse of the year - 1 Peter 2:4-5
