Open the Book in Action!
Open the Book is a three-year programme that aims to teach children in primary schools the stories of the Bible. It involves an introduction, a dramatic reading of the Bible, a summing-up to draw out the main lessons of the story and a prayer.
We have teams at both St. David's and Longborough Schools going in weekly to take the assemblies, and they are much appreciated. But the teams really do need a few more people to help. You don't have to be a great actor or learn lines if you don't want to. You just need to be free for about 1.5 hours on Thursday mornings (term time).
